2 Timothy 3:1-5 (AMP)

3 But understand this, that in the last days dangerous times [of great stress and trouble] will come [difficult days that will be hard to bear]. 2 For people will be lovers of self [narcissistic, self-focused], lovers of money [impelled by greed], boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane, 3 [and they will be] unloving [devoid of natural human affection, calloused and inhumane], irreconcilable, malicious gossips, devoid of self-control [intemperate, immoral], brutal, haters of good, 4 traitors, reckless, conceited, lovers of [sensual] pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of [outward] godliness (religion), although they have denied its power [for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith]. Avoid such people and keep far away from them.

There are already spiritual casualties in the body of Christ that need urgent spiritual attention.

We now live in a world where; 

• ladies dress stark naked and doesn't see anything wrong with it.
•  some pastors take alcohol, smoke and still preach
•  Men of God put Taliban in the pocket, serving another god and still climb the altar
•  Abortion has become the order of the day..whereas some people are crying for children for many years
•  during the service, armed robbers can enter the church, take the offering rob, kill and just walk away..
• some have sold their conscience to the devil completely.

 We are in the INJURY TIME: In football, it is a time wen both parties are 0-0 or 1-1 and they are now competing for just one point..they play with more technicality. If u miss the ball don't miss the leg..your defense

•  If one is not careful, one can fall into the hands of wrong ones

 These are dangerous times, agents of darkness in the church..they are more punctual and more committed..there assignment is to ruin the man of God, to seduce and reduce him to a loaf of bread in the name of counselling. They disapprove the credibility of the man of God and publish it.

• II Tim 3:2..men shall be lovers of themselves. For example, when they are serving food in an occasion... they get to you and skip you simply because you are not their family member.
•  Some pastors check the offerings of the church as if they are the general overseer and eventually chop the money without allowing people to ask them question

 We are in the days when an assistant pastor can open a branch with the money he stole from church treasury..and at the same time run down the G.O.

•  Covetousness is a spirit of the end I.e what they have isn't enough, when they see your own, they want to collect it. They see your wife , they pursue your wife.
•  Some chase married men, married women..
• Some men of God boast on the altar, my church is bigger than your church, who is your mentor? When did you become born again? I've put on this collar for many years..etc. On the last day, the crowd in your church is not the qualification to make heaven
• Some sell their body in other to have food in their system..Bible says, 'Behold, I send you as sheep among wolves....these days wolves roam about in sheep's clothing!
•  Some people won't see you before they criticise you. This occurs mostly among believers. When they see that a man of God is being used both far and wide, they blaspheme the Holy Ghost! We speak things we don't know. If you know someone five years ago, do you know them today?
•  When people begin to mention names, they are not from God..they are there to cause confusion. You can't injure other Christian soldiers and think you will enter the Kingdom. On the day of harvest, God will separate the tares from the wheat...leave them for God and don't judge.
•  Some men of God fight against other men of God on their altar. Don't judge people by thy past.
•  There are different political groups now in the church fighting each other. Majority has left the primary aim of fighting the devil. Rather than fighting one another..let's go to the village and preach the gospel.
•  Remember that every house has a toilet and yours will soon smell if you are fond of running others down.
•  An age 9 boy was caught smoking while an 11 year old boy was caught fornicating...all because of computer age. Majority of our children are on Twitter twitting their lives. A 15 year old could call his parents by their first names. Some parents praise their children as they dance Makossa to hell fire.
•  When last have you called your parents, that thank you for bringing me into this world, how many mothers are called witches because of false prophets?, how many  children have become disobedient and unthankful to their parents?. When parents are crying, God is angry.
•  If you have done evil to your father or mother, go and make amends. No matter how anointed a man is, he cannot reverse a biological curse.. Remember Exodus 20:12 KJV "Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee." 

We need to return to the place of the cross.

Acts 4:10-12 KJV

"Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."

O Lord Jesus, we ask for the mercy of your cross, forgive us our sins and heal our land. Repent from your sins and return to God wholeheartedly.

IF YOU MISS HEAVEN!

Sodom had no Bible,

We have millions.

Sodom had no preacher,

We have thousands.

Sodom had no church,

We have numerous.

Sodom had no prophet,

We have many

Sodom heard only one warning, 

we've heard several.

Matthew  10:15  "Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgement, than for that city."

what then will be your excuse for missing HEAVEN??

1.friends??  Daniel had that yet he kept himself

2.money?? Lazarus had none yet he made it.

3.worldly amusement?? Moses had than that yet he consecrated himself.

Or perhaps satan??

He will ask you, have you seen me before.??

Beloved Christ is justified it's left to you.....

if u miss heaven, don't blame God. He sent Jesus his only son.

if u miss heaven, don't blame Jesus. He died for you on the cross of Calvary

if u miss heaven, don't blame Satan. You had a choice.

The question that was put forth by God to Moses in Exodus 4:2, not as being ignorant of what it was, but to draw the attention of Moses to the fact that what God will use to deliver a person is already in the possession of such a person. The Israelites cried out to God and God needed a prophet, God had to use what was already in the hand of Moses.

Most people today suffer because they are ignorant of the blessings which God has already given to them. Some even disregard the fact that it's the talent or gift they have, trade they learnt and their little effort is the pathway to the top for them. When the Lord Jesus was about feeding the over 5,000 people, He used what was in the hands of a little boy...five loaves of bread and two fishes . The angel of the Lord, as a sign of acceptance of Gideon's offering, used a staff in the environment and fire came from the rock, not from heaven which consumed the offering.

Just as God asked Moses, 'What do you have in your hands? What are you still holding on tightly to that could prevent you from entering into the Kingdom of God?' The only way to multiply this gift God has given you is to release it for Jesus. God will use it, only if you are willing to lose it. Alvin Slaughter in one of his songs said lyrics, 'Let Jesus take it, bless it, break it and give it. ' God wants to deliver a soul, heal a nation and raise a generation, release your heart to Him and He will use you just as you are!

Some years ago, the renowned world boxer, Muhammad Ali was asked openly in a program by a young boy what he would like to do when he retires from boxing. His reply was, “When I retire from boxing, I really don’t know. I wanna say something right here and this might make you all think. Life is real short, so you add up all your travelling, all your sleeping, your school, your entertainment, you probably been half your life doing nothing.

So now, I’m 35 years old, 30 more years, I’ll be 65. We don’t have no more influence, we can’t do nothing much at 65, your wife will tell you that. When you are 65, it ain’t too much more to do. So, did you know I’ll be 65 in 30 more years? In those 30 years, I have to sleep 9 years, I don’t have 30 years of daylight, I have to travel back to America 6/7 hours, all my travelling, probably 4 years of travelling in the next 30 years, about 9 years of sleeping, television, movies, entertainment, about 3 years of entertainment. Out of 30 years, I might have about 16 years to be productive. So, this is how we can all break our individual lives down. What am I going to do in the next 16 years? What is the best thing I can do? GET READY TO MEET GOD.

Going into real estate, going into business, teaching boxers, all that won’t get me into heaven. How many believe there is a supreme being? Believe there is a God? How many believed there is some power that made the sun, the moon and stars? How many believe that this stuff didn’t just come out here? Somebody wiser than us made it. How many believe there is a God? If I told you, you who don’t believe in God that this glass sprung into existence, this glass made itself, no man made this glass, would you believe it? When I tell you, you wouldn’t believe it right? If I told you that this television station popped into existence, no man made it. You’ll say, ‘Muhammad Ali is crazy’ Alright, if this glass can’t make itself, if I told you that those clothes you have on wove themselves, nobody created them, those clothes made themselves, you wouldn’t believe it. If those clothes didn’t make themselves, if that glass didn’t make itself, if this building didn’t make itself, then how did the moon get out there? How did the stars, Jupiter, Neptune, and Mars, and the sun, how did nature and all these come here if didn’t no wise something planner make it? So, what I’m saying is, ‘I believe we are all going to be judged.’”

He continued further by saying, “Should a man like Hitler kill all the Jews and get away with it? Somebody should punish him, maybe he don’t get it now, but gets it when he dies. In hell for eternity. So, what I’m gonna do when I get out of boxing is to get myself ready to MEET God, because my plane might blow up. Don’t planes blow up in this country sometimes and crash. Don’t people die everyday? It’s a scary thing to think that I’m going to hell to burn for eternally FOREVER.

So, what I’m I gonna do? Reason, why I’m explaining what you asked in the question, you asked a question I can’t just answer like that. When I get out of boxing, or when I’m through, I’m gonna do all I can to help people. That’s why I’m here with Jonny Walker.  Here is a poor man, came all the way to America. There’s a bunch of boys need some money, and somebody is calling me to help them. GOD IS WATCHING ME! God don’t praise me because I beat Joe Frazier, God don’t give nothing about Joe Frazier, God don’t care nothing about England or America. As far as we are aware of, it’s all His. He wants to know how we treat each other. How do we help each other? So, I’m going to dedicate my life to using my name and popularity to helping charities, helping people, and uniting people. People bombing each other because of religion.

We need somebody in the world to help us to make peace. So, when I die, if there is a heaven, I want to see it, because we live how long? 80 years? The odds are everybody in this room, some of you gonna be dead 20 years from now, some 50 years from now, some of you 30, 60, 70 years from now. We all gonna die soon, and if you live to be say 125 years old which we don’t do, right? Let’s say we live to be 250 and you can have sex for 145 of those years, you gonna come to an end after that. So, we don’t have but about 80 years on earth. This is a test to see where we will spend our life, heaven or hell.

This is not the life now, your real self is inside you, your body gets old. Some of you go to look at the mirror. You don’t have no teeth, your hair is leaving you, your bodies get tired, but your soul and your spirit never die, that’s gonna live forever. So, your body is just housing your soul and your spirit. God is testing us on how we treat each other, how we live to see where our real home will be, in heaven. So, this physical stuff don’t last for so long. My car, this building is gonna be here when the man who built it is dead. There have been many kings and queens of England, they all dead. After this one is gone, another one gonna come. We don’t stay here, we are just trustees, we don’t own nothing, even your children are not yours. If you think I’m lying, your wife is not yours. You don’t own your children, you don’t own your family, so, what am I saying?

The most important thing about life is what’s gonna happen when you die? Are you going to heaven or hell? And that’s eternity. How long is eternity? Let’s imagine, take the Sahara desert, there’s a lot of sand on the Sahara desert right? Imagine that one grain of sand represents 1,000 years and when you in hell burning, when you die, and go to hell, you gonna burn forever and ever and ever, NO END! How long is that?

Give you an idea how long eternity is. Take the Sahara desert and I told you told you to wait 1,000 years and every 1,000 years, I want you to pick up a grain of sand until the desert is empty, ok wait 1,000 years pick up a grain, wait another 1,000 years before you pick up the next grain, keep that up until there’s no more sand in the desert. You know how long just…I mean, America is not but 200 years old, we got 800 more years before 1,000, so, just scares me to think that I’m gonna die one day and go to hell. I’m on an airplane that might blow up, I’m always travelling and to go to hell and God is going to judge my soul. The police, I might kill people, I might rob people, the authorities might not catch me. The FBI, Scotland yard might not catch me, but when I die, somebody’s watching me and keeping count and I CAN’T GET AWAY, and I’m gonna burn forever and ever I’ll go to hell. So, what I’m I gonna do when I’m through fighting, I only have 16 years to be productive, get myself ready to meet God and go to the best place ”

Proverbs 30:8-9 says, "Keep deception and lies far from me, Give me neither poverty nor riches; Feed me with the food that is my portion, That I not be full and deny You and say, "Who is the LORD?" Or that I not be in want and steal, And profane the name of my God. "

Agur in the above verse recognized the need to stay close to God despite the numerous enticements of this world. He asked for a middle state and indeed daily bread to meet his family's immediate needs. He asked that God may take from him riches which lead to vanity, and poverty which leads to lying and deceit. Some being full of the riches of this world are tempted to deny that what they have, they have received of God. Agur's prayer of wisdom in the verses above shouldn't be far from our lips if we want to make heaven.

He can use you too!

“Then I went down to the potter’s house, and behold, he was working at the wheel. And the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he made it over, reworking it into another vessel as it seemed good to the potter to make it.”

Jeremiah 18:3-4

The potter patiently works the clay, tenderly molding its shape. In the same manner, God patiently directs our lives, seeking us to fulfil His will. It takes time to make a worth-while product, and God is willing to wait. Man is the clay and life is the wheel. The greatest quality of clay is that it yields. As it yields in the hands of the potter it can become something of great value. If the clay fails to yield it becomes marred. Disobedience hinders the work of God in our lives. God's plan for us can be spoiled by our own disobedience. The same is true of a nation, a church, or a family. No greater damage can be done than that of an unyielding life.

There were notable people in biblical days that became marred in the process of making, they turned back to God with their whole heart and God used them. Noah got drunk, Jacob lied, Moses murdered, Rahab was a prostitute, David had an affair, Peter denied Christ thrice, Paul killed many Christians, Jonah disobeyed and escaped, Solomon, the wisest man on earth had 700 wives and 300 concubines, not to mention, but a few.

A man who refuses to yield to the will of God has already made himself a vessel unto dishonour. Has God being speaking to your heart to do certain things for Him, to lead a soul to Christ, to restore the lost hope in an environment and you’ve been withdrawing, giving one excuse or the other. The Bible says, if these do not glorify Me, immediately stones will rise up in their place. May we not be replaced in Jesus’ name.

Pray Until Something Happens – DDMI Prayer Ministry

Prayer is the primary means of communicating with God. The significance of prayer in the church can’t be quantified. A prayer less believer is a powerless one. The early disciples of Jesus gave themselves continually to prayer (Acts 2) while they await the promise of the Holy Spirit. They continued daily, with one accord in the upper room. Thus, they were all able to receive the Holy Ghost baptism at Pentecost.

Jesus Christ emphasized the purpose of the church of Christ to the people at the Synagogue when he boldly exclaimed in Matthew 21: 13 that His house shall be called, ‘A House of Prayer.’ Though He was considered God the Son, yet He still continued all night in prayer, laying an example for us to emulate. Prayer is the key to unlock the bank of God’s ideas. In our contemporary days, things have gone so absurd that even the very elect would have been swept away, had these dark days not been shortened. To set things back in order, we need a kneeologian.

Someone once wrote that there is a place of discovering God by personal experience that we may have the richest measure of the divine presence and become a body wholly filled and flooded by God Himself. An affliction could be in the form of injustice, hatred from people, oppression by task masters, hunger and family problems etc. In all these;

You can pray like Daniel and stop the mouth of lions.

You can pray like Elijah and bring down fire from heaven.

You can pray like Moses and the sea will obey you

You can pray like Hannah and God will give you a Samuel

You can pray like Deborah and be a mother in Israel

You can pray like Esther and save a nation…

However way you choose to pray, we don’t need a theologian for a revival. If we truly want the power of the Holy Spirit to sweep through our land again, what we need is a kneeologian.

“Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” (Luke 12:32). God is willing to give us the kingdom, if only we choose to pray unto him with a believing heart. Jesus in John 16:24 says, ‘Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name; ask, and ye shall receive that your joy may be full.’

According to Charles Spurgeon, the prayer meeting is the place to meet with the Holy Ghost, and this is the way to get His mighty power. If we would have Him, we must pray with greater fervency, we must watch with greater earnestness, and believe with firmer steadfastness. It is therefore time to activate our spiritual altar of prayer, both collectively and individually and cry out to God to send upon us the former and the latter rain. The prayer meeting is indeed the appointed place for the reception of power.

The MARCHING time will be to follow closely the objective of the Mighty man in battle. During the FIGHTING time, we will boldly enter the grounds of the enemy with our armours polished and shining.

It is a group that remains an army whether at battle or at peace.

In this group, you are free to share your prayer requests and devotionals as we go through them together.

You are here for a PURPOSE; To populate heaven and depopulate hell. You are here by the INSPIRATION of the Holy Spirit and this is still subject to your personal choice.

This group is strictly for the CHOSEN ones who want to heed the CALL of Jesus Christ. Together, let's contribute our quota to make it work and let's suggest ways for daily improvements.

Don't miss the boat!

To some people, the story of Noah is only for the books, or the cartoons and movies, but it is worth much more. Noah was a man of God, whose strong faith and righteousness is a force to be reckoned with, even till today.
The story of Noah and the boat still applies till today. We should read it over and over in order to examine whether we are still in the faith.

Luke 17: 26-27 says, “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all."

The days that Jesus spoke about in the verses above signify the days before the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. These days are the days of the highest order of carnality, complacency, and spiritual carelessness, which are already manifesting in our days.

We are already in the perilous times and the hearts of many are already waxing cold. Jesus told His disciples that if not for the shortening of those days for the sake of the elect, there should no flesh be saved (Matthew 24:22). It is indeed our call to do whatever it takes to enter the boat of Noah, ask for grace each day to live a life that is pleasing unto Christ, and not to look back into the things of the world that we left behind.

A biblical resemblance to the days of Noah is the days of Lot when God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, people were eating, drinking, partying, trading, planting and building.
Just like Noah, we should indeed live a life of godliness in an ungodly generation

The destruction of the earth was imminent in Noah's days, due to the carelessness of the ungodly about the things of God. The divine looked down and saw only one righteous man on earth. This was Noah. If the video of your life were to be played before the Chief judge, would you be ratified innocent or guilty. Let's go back to where we missed our first love and return back to God with our whole heart that He may turn and heal our land.

Exodus 17:11-12

Israel engaged with Amalek in their own necessary defence.
God makes his people able, and calls them to various services for the good of his church.
Joshua fights, Moses prays, both minister to Israel. The rod was held up, as the banner to encourage the soldiers. Also to God, by way of appeal to him.
...

Moses was tired. The strongest arm will fail with being long held out; it is God only whose hand is stretched out still.
We do not find that Joshua's hands were heavy in fighting, but Moses' hands were heavy in praying; the more spiritual any service is, the more apt we are to fail and flag in it.
To convince Israel that the hand of Moses, whom they had been chiding, did more for their safety than their own hands, his rod than their sword, the success rises and falls as Moses lifts up or lets down his hands.
The church's cause is more or less successful, as her friends are more or less strong in faith, and fervent in prayer

A glorious entry

The palm tree is sign of joy and victory, they carried branches of it in their hands, as they met the King Messiah, who was about to make His public entrance into Jerusalem, in triumph; and where by His sufferings and death, He should gain the victory over sin, Satan, the world, and death; and lay a solid foundation for joy and peace, to all that believe in Him.

A message of hope

Our sins were the thorns in Christ's head, the nails in his hands and feet, the spear in his side. He was delivered to death for our offences. By his sufferings he purchased for us the Spirit and grace of God, to mortify our corruptions, which are the distempers of our souls. We may well endure our lighter sufferings, if He has taught us to esteem all things but loss for him, and to love him who has first loved us.

Empty tomb!

‘He is risen’ is one word in the original-a sentence of one word, which announces the mightiest miracle that ever was wrought upon earth, a miracle which opens the door wide enough for all supernatural events recorded of Jesus Christ to find an entrance to the understanding and the reason.
It sets the seal of the divine approval on Christ’s work, and declares the divinity of His person and the all-sufficiency of His mighty sacrifice.
Therefore let us, laden with our sins and seeking for reconciliation with God, and knowing how impossible it is for us to bring an atonement or a ransom for ourselves, look upon that grave and learn that Christ has offered the sacrifice which God has accepted, and with which He is well pleased.

Breaking every chain

The Spirit presence

To ask in Christ's name, is to plead his merit and intercession, and to depend upon that plea. The gift of the Spirit is a fruit of Christ's mediation, bought by His merit, and received by his intercession.

The wages of sin

If you are not saved, then you are in trouble.
One Day You will Die and if you are still not saved when you die, you will go to hell. GOING TO CHURCH WILL NOT SAVE YOU. You need the blood of Jesus. You need to REPENT of your sins and BELIEVE in and OBEY the Lord Jesus--NOT a pope or a fake preacher or any other "religious" ruler. Many of the visible churches are full of sinners that are going to go to hell--from the pulpit to the pew.
ONLY JESUS CHRIST SAVES, ACCEPT HIM TODAY.

Word of the cross

To the worldly, it is foolishness because it requires spiritual discernment. But to those that believe, it is the power of God because the cross is at the heart of that gospel which is "the power of God unto salvation"

The greatest wealth a man can ever get is the treasure that is laid up in heaven. Do not be blinded by worldly desire but rather be transformed by the renewal of your mind daily with the word of God.

Whatever you do, let your desire be on heavenly matters and how you will bring more souls to Christ.
It is indeed greater to have one's name written in the Book of Life than for it to be in the book of the world's greatest awards without the hope of eternal life.

 

 

To some, accumulation of academic accolades without salvation, corporate success by selling one's soul gives one a high societal status in the society. Sadhu S. S. once had a vision about the death of a philosopher. According to his story, "The soul of a German philosopher entered into the world of spirits and saw from afar the incomparable glory of the spiritual world, and the boundless happiness of its people. He was delighted with what he saw, but his stubborn intellectualism stood in the way of his entering into it, and enjoying its happiness.

 

Instead of admitting that it was real, he argued thus with himself, "There is no doubt at all that I see al...l this, but what proof is there that it has objective existence, and is not some illusion conjured up by my mind? From end to end of all this scene I will apply the tests of logic, philosophy and science, and then only will I be convinced that it has a reality of its own, and is no illusion."

Hmm! It is definite, according to Prophet S. Bushiri that the way people measure success is not the way God measures success. A day, by a man's calculation is 24 hours, whereas by God's measuring standard, it is 1,000 years.

It is indeed profitable if we set our affections on things above, where Christ is seated, focus on things which have eternal orientation and aim at godly affairs. Then, when Christ returns to take us back home, then without fear, we will boldly meet Him and say, just like Apostle Paul, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith, and henceforth, is laid up for me a crown of righteousness.. (II Tim. 4:7-8).



A life without the Holy Spirit

For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
If the Spirit be in us, Christ is in us. He dwells in the heart by faith. Grace in the soul is its new nature; the soul is alive to God, and has begun its holy happiness which shall endure for ever. Ask God to fill you with His Holy Spirit today, for indeed without Him, you can do nothing.

A broken cistern

What a deep thought that with all their work men only make ‘cisterns,’ i.e. they only provide circumstances which could hold delights, but cannot secure that water should be in them! The men-made cisterns must be God-filled, if filled at all. The true joy from earthly things belong to him who has made God his portion.

The budded rod!

The miraculous shooting forth of Aaron’s dry rod may be regarded as a type of the mode of the Spirit’s operation in the Church, and more especially in the work of the ministry; “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts” (Zechariah 4:6). May God make all that concerns us this year to blossom to the glory of God in Jesus' name.

Exploit the earth!

Matthew 16:26 KJV
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
For what is a man profited - To gain the whole world means to possess it as our own - all its riches, its honors, and its pleasures.

 "To lose his own soul" means to be cast away, to be shut out from heaven, to be sent to hell. Two things are implied by Christ in these questions:

1. That they who are striving to gain the world, and are unwilling to give it up for the sake of religion, will lose their souls; and,
2. That if the soul is lost, nothing can be given in exchange for it, or that it can never afterward be saved. There is no redemption in hell.

When God searches for His seekers

The Omniscient God made "an express examination" on this very point, that he looked over all the world, and that in the multitudes which passed under the notice of his eye not "one" could be found who could be pronounced righteous.
It is time to return to God and do His will. Open up to Him today and He will receive you for He is JUST A PRAYER AWAY!

OUR BELIEFS

1.      THE SCRIPTURES: The Bible is the inspired Word of God, the product of holy men of old who spoke and wrote as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. The New Covenant, as recorded in the New Testament, we accept as our infallible guide in matters pertaining to conduct and doctrine (2 Tim. 3:16; 1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).

2.      THE GODHEAD: Our God is One, but manifested in three Persons—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, being coequal (Deut. 6:4; Phil. 2:6). God the Father is greater than all; the Sender of the Word (Logos) and the Begetter (John 14:28; John 16:28; John 1:14). The Son is the Word flesh-covered, the One Begotten, and has existed with the Father from the beginning (John 1:1; John 1:18; John 1:14). The Holy Spirit proceeds forth from both the Father and the Son and is eternal (John 14:16; John 15:26).

3.      MAN, HIS FALL AND REDEMPTION: Man is a created being, made in the likeness and image of God, but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. The Bible says “…all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God,” and “…There is none righteous, no, not one” (Rom. 3:10; 3:23). Jesus Christ, the Son of God, was manifested to undo the works of the devil and gave His life and shed His blood to redeem and restore man back to God (Rom. 5:14; 1 John 3:8). Salvation is the gift of God to man, separate from works and the Law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Eph. 2:8–10).

4.      ETERNAL LIFE AND THE NEW BIRTH: Man’s first step toward salvation is godly sorrow that worketh repentance. The New Birth is necessary to all men, and when experienced, produces eternal life (2 Cor. 7:10; John 3:3–5; 1 John 5:12).

5.      WATER BAPTISM: Baptism in water is by immersion, is a direct commandment of our Lord, and is for believers only. The ordinance is a symbol of the Christian’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection (Matt. 28:19; Rom. 6:4; Col. 2:12; Acts 8:36–39). The following recommendation regarding the water baptismal formula is adopted; to wit: “On the confession of your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and by His authority, I baptize you in the Name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Amen.”

6.      BAPTISM IN THE HOLY GHOST: The Baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire is a gift from God as promised by the Lord Jesus Christ to all believers in this dispensation and is received subsequent to the new birth. This experience is accompanied by the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit Himself gives utterance (Matt. 3:11; John 14:16,17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:38,39; Acts 19:1–7; Acts 2:1–4).

7.      SANCTIFICATION: The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in the Doctrine of Sanctification as a definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation at Christ’s return (Heb. 12:14; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; 2 Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12–14; 1 Cor. 1:30).

8.      DIVINE HEALING: Healing is for the physical ills of the human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the laying on of hands. It is provided for in the atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every member of the Church today (James 5:14,15; Mark 16:18; Isa. 53:4,5; Matt. 8:17; 1 Peter 2:24).

9.      RESURRECTION OF THE JUST AND THE RETURN OF OUR LORD: The angels said to Jesus’ disciples, “…This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.” His coming is imminent. When He comes, “…The dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air…” (Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:16,17). Following the Tribulation, He shall return to earth as King of kings, and Lord of lords, and together with His saints, who shall be kings and priests, He shall reign a thousand years (Rev. 5:10; 20:6).

10.  HELL AND ETERNAL RETRIBUTION: The one who physically dies in his sins without accepting Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost in the lake of fire and, therefore, has no further opportunity of hearing the Gospel or repenting. The lake of fire is literal. The terms “eternal” and “everlasting,” used in describing the duration of the punishment of the damned in the lake of fire, carry the same thought and meaning of endless existence as used in denoting the duration of joy and ecstasy of saints in the Presence of God (Hebrews 9:27, Rev. 19:20).
